Tenjiku cotton is a plain-woven cotton fabric made with thick yarns woven at the same density in both warp and weft.
It has a dense texture and feels slightly thicker than muslin.
This fabric is mainly used for flags, curtains, and coverings for tables.
The name “Tenjiku” comes from cotton fabric imported from India around the Meiji Restoration period.
It is sometimes simply called “Tenjiku,” but be careful not to confuse it with tenjiku knit (jersey knit).
It is widely used for sheets, tablecloths, and altar cloths.
*This fabric may have rubbed stains or mixed-in threads of different colors (such as red, blue, or black) that cannot be removed during production, so these are not considered defects. Please purchase with this understanding.
