Students’ comprehension is impacted and supported by solid foundational skills in oral language, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension. This book analyzes the skills needed in these areas and strategies and activities to support their development. It expands teachers’ skills and strategies to help them make a significant difference in their students’ lives.
Author Biography
Lin Carver is the Director of Program Approval and the Reading Program Administrator at Saint Leo University. She presents nationally and internationally and instructs and designs courses in literacy, technology, and instructional leadership.
Lauren Pantoja is a Learning Design Coach at Paul R. Smith Middle School in Pasco County Florida and was recognized as the Florida Literacy Coach of the Year.
